Pyranha Cup Český pohár vodáků consists of eight individual races – the Otava, the Sázava, the Blanice, the Svratka, the Úhlava, the Hamerský potok, the Teplá and the Střela rivers.

The aim of the races is to perform brilliantly, as well as to experience some strain and adventure on Czech and Moravian rivers.

Most of these rivers cannot be run unless there is some water released from dams, so the races are the only opportunity to run the rivers down.

Roughly as far as 2,000 paddlers come together to the events, as many as 500 of them engage in all races. In total nearly 1,500 competitors engaged in at least one race last year and another c. 10,000 paddlers took the chance to run down some of the rivers during the ČPV races. The races are open to everyone; you don’t even need to be a member of a racing club. What you only need are a boat, a paddle, a buoyancy aid, a helmet and a mind to compare your skills with skills of the other paddlers. Come and try! There are prizes in a raffle for nearly everyone ;-) And kelpie is ready, too.

Our Test centre will be ready at each Pyranha Cup race. Dozens of kayaks and inflatable canoes will be available for testing. You should book a specific boat in advance. This year change of Český pohár vodáků to Pyranha Cup is apparent at first sight. We have had made brand new smart and glove-fitting starting numbers.

In 2011 VODÁK sport in cooperation with Pyranha supports the largest slam of white water touring races in ČR, Pyranha Cup - Český pohár vodáků.

VODÁK sport is a general partner of these races in 2011.
